Membership Requirements

USOBA Membership Agreement must be executed at time of application.
Debt Settlement companies are provisional members until agreement provisions are approved.
Currently, membership is a contractual amount of $4800 per year.
Effective February 1, 2009, all new and renewing members must become USOBA Accredited by their next renewal date.
All members consent to participate in USOBA’s Compliance Audit Program.
Applicants have 45 days to submit the required documentation outlined in the USOBA Membership Agreement. During this time the member will only be confirmed as a provisional member and logo use is strictly prohibited.
Debt Settlement companies must submit:
- Any and all contracts used with consumers.
- Evidence of the USOBA Required Consumer Disclosures.
- The budget analysis used to qualify consumers, inclusive of ALL expenditures and income.
- The notice to advise consumers who are not appropriate for debt settlement of alternative debt relief options.
- All web pages intended to display the USOBA logo.
- The debt settlement company’s physical address and phone number must be present on any page displaying the logo.
- Website domain registrations must be public.
